The mission of the Sheriff's Office Enforcement Division is to serve and protect people and property in Clatsop County.
To accomplish this mission, the division enforces county ordinances and county, state and federal laws, maintains the peace and order of the county, protects property and personal safety, and assists citizens.
These services are provided to the community by a team of trained and sworn professional deputy sheriffs, augmented by reserve deputies, cadets and citizen volunteers. The Sheriff's Office and two substations, located in Svensen and Jewell, provide facilities for these services.
The Sheriff's Office to provide leadership and professional support to sustain and improve the community's efforts to develop a balanced and cooperative law enforcement community campaign against lawless and disorderly behavior.
