Community Development

The Community Development Department is dedicated to the sustainable high-quality development and resource management of Clatsop County. We strive to encourage job creation and retention; public and private partnerships; and safe, clean and affordable housing stock. This mission is accomplished within each of its divisions by working to implement Board of Commissioner policies and priority strategies; soliciting and encouraging public input; and assist property owners in understanding the myriad of Federal, State and local land use regulations.
