Elections

Safe, secure and transparent elections are a cornerstone of the office of the County Clerk, the chief election official of the County.

The County Clerk conducts all elections within Clatsop County, registers voters, and ensures we follow federal, state and local election laws. 

Our office checks ballot measures for timeliness and to make sure they are worded accurately, as required by law. 

We prepare and maintain records related to voting activities and candidate services. 

To ensure the public is provided with complete and accurate information, the Clerk provides uniformity in the application, operation and interpretation of election laws.
