Oregon Health Authority Drinking Water Services has lifted the boil advisory for Maple Elsie Water services, formerly called the Evergreen Acres Water System.

 
February 1, 2024

The Oregon Department of Corrections will be delivering a 3,300 gallon water tanker trailer to Nehalem Valley Community Church today, Thursday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m.

Clatsop County will continue to distribute the bottled water that has been received and once gone, the tanker will become the primary source of potable water for the community until the Evergreen Acres water system is repaired.

January 24, 2024

Clatsop County Board of Commissioners issued an emergency declaration tonight at their regular board meeting regarding Evergreen Acres Water Services. An emergency declaration allows Clatsop County to tap into state resources to address this public health emergency.

On Friday, January 19,  a technical expert report indicated that the well may be failing. Due to the public health impacts on this community, $50,000 of Clatsop County pandemic American Rescue Plan Act funding will be allocated for repairs and to assist returning the water system to reliable and safe operation. All expenses must be pre-approved by the County.

January 17, 2024 | 11 a.m. 

Parts of the Evergreen Acres Water Services system may not be operating normally. Until fixed, residents may pick up water at the Nehalem Valley Community Church parking lot, located 80803 OR-103 in Seaside.

January 12, 2024 | 4:45 p.m. - Evergreen Acres Boil Advisory Lifted

Recent Oregon Health Authority water sampling at Evergreen Acres Water Services found no presence of total coliform bacteria or E. coli in the source water or distribution system. As a result, the Boil Water Advisory, as of Jan. 12, 2024, has been lifted.  The operator is required to continue monitoring the water quality in the source and distribution system by submitting coliform and chlorine residual results monthly.

OHA took water samples from Evergreen Acres Water Services Wednesday, Jan. 10, and received results Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024. Test result details here are available at YourWater.oregon.gov.

January 11, 2024 | 2:25 p.m.
  • Due to upcoming freezing temperatures, Clatsop County strongly encourages Evergreen Acres residents to pick up water today through 8 p.m. tonight at Nehalem Valley Community Church, located 80803 OR-103 in Seaside. The next time water will be available at the church is 9:30 a.m. – Noon Sunday, Jan. 14.

  • Six pallets of water have been delivered to the Nehalem Valley Community Church located 80803 OR-103 in Seaside.
January 5, 2024 | 3:25 p.m. Update
  • A 500 gallon Water Mobility Trailer has been delivered to the church with potable water. The Elsie-Vinemaple RFPD will monitor the water level regularly and refill the trailer. 
January 5, 2024  |10:30 a.m. Update

Oregon Department of Health Services will deliver 6 pallets of water to Nehalem Valley Community Church around Noon today for residents being served by Evergreen Acres Water Service.

January 4, 2024

While Oregon Health Authority works to resolve drinking water concerns at Evergreen Acres, Clatsop County is securing temporary water for residents served by Evergreen Acres. 

  • At approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, Clatsop County Public Works will deliver a pallet of water to Nehalem Valley Community Church. The church is located 80803 OR-103 in Seaside.
  • Clatsop County Emergency Management is working with Oregon Emergency Management to secure a potable water tank for this area. We will let residents know when that water will be available.

Clatsop County Environmental Health is in daily communication with OHA and will continue doing so until clean water is available to Evergreen Acres customers.
