State of Oregon Law Library

Did you know that there are free resources that you can access at your own computer for all Oregonians?   The State of Oregon Law Library (For All Oregonians - State of Oregon Law Library - LibGuides at State of Oregon Law Library) provides the following resources remotely to all Oregonians:

  • Fastcase.  Available to all Oregonians, Fastcase includes the United States Code, United States Supreme Court and Court of Appeals Cases; and cases, statutes, regulations, court rules, constitutions, attorney general opinions, and session laws for Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington.  Access is remote.
  • NOLO.  Available to all Oregonians, NOLO provides access to full-text legal reference publications written for consumers that allow individuals to learn about specific topics of law.  Some of the Legal Topics discussed include adoption, child custody, criminal law, divorce, estate planning, family law, property and real estate, and small claims court. Access is remote.
  • Research Guides. Legal research is the process of finding and understanding the law and how it applies to your particular situation. The following guides cover common legal topics and provide help on where to start. Access is remote.
  • BarBooks. Oregon and topic specific materials that are created by Oregon lawyers.  The topics include criminal law, family law, real property, civil litigation and have legal forms.
