(Astoria, OR) — Due to a National Weather Service Portland forecast for freezing rain, Clatsop County will close county office buildings to the public at 3 p.m. today.

“Our community’s safety is of utmost important and we encourage the public to avoid travel. We also want to ensure our employees are safe and that those who need to head home before the weather turns can do so safely,” said Don Bohn, Clatsop County Manager.

While offices are closed to the public, county services will still be available by phone or email through 5 p.m. today. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Clatsop County will provide any additional storm updates on social media and ClatsopCounty.gov.
