Animal Control

We are happy to announce that our Clatsop County Animal Shelter is returning to pre-pandemic hours and we are excited to open our doors and see our community’s smiling faces once again.

Business hours now are:

• Open- 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Closed for lunch 12:30-1:30 p.m.
• Closed – Sunday and Monday
• Pet Adoptions - By appointment only. Please call (503) 861-0737 to schedule an appointment.

Clatsop County Animal Control and Shelter provides care and protection for hundreds of homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused or neglected dogs and cats.  We respond to complaints of stray dogs, nuisance dogs, dog bites and to reports of animal abuse in the unincorporated areas.  We find new loving homes for dogs and cats and we issue licenses for dogs and other pets.
