The first annual Clatsop County PRCA Rodeo on July 21-22, 2006, was a great success, drawing more than 6,000 people over the two days.
The Friends of the Fair organized the event, which was the first rodeo in the area sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Contestants competed for spots at the national championships in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, team roping, calf tying, steer wrestling, bull riding and barrel racing.
The PRCA plans to be back next year!
