You may view documents on our public terminals (1995 to present) in our office free of charge. Our staff will help you get started using the equipment and finding your information. We are located on the second floor of the Public Services Building at 820 Exchange St., in Astoria.
You can now search for a document that has been recorded in Clatsop County. Once you find the document you are looking for you can request a copy without paying a research fee. Just select "Locate a Document" on the menu.
To request a record, you may come to our office in person or mail/email in your request. Our mailing address is: Clatsop County Clerk, 820 Exchange St., Suite 220, Astoria, Oregon 97103. When mailing a request, please include the Document number and the year of recordation. Please see fees listed on Records Research/Copy Request Form. If mailing the request form, please make checks payable to: Clatsop County Clerk. If requesting by email, form of payment will be by credit/debit card. We cannot process your request without the correct payment.
If you are requesting a copy of a current deed (1995 to present) and do not have the reference number, we can also search it by book and page number of deed book, or name of grantee or grantor and approximate recording date.
