Paying Your Property Taxes

You can find your current property tax statement, current balance due, assessment valuation information, and appraisal information regarding your property by going to our Property Info page. You will need to have the physical address or the property tax account number to locate your property.

Payment Information:

  • Scheduled payment dates are Nov. 15, Feb. 15 and May 15.
    • You will receive a 3 percent discount if paying in full by Nov. 15. Paying two-thirds of the total tax bill is eligible for a 2 percent discount. There is no discount for paying one-third of the tax bill by the due date.

There are four ways to pay your property taxes:

1. By Mail: The U.S. Postal Service postmark is the date the payment will be considered received, as mandated by state statute. Some postal facilities forward their mail to a larger Postal Center for postmarking. This may delay the actual date your payment is postmarked and jeopardize eligibility to a significant discount on your taxes. Please take appropriate steps to ensure your payment is postmarked on or before Nov. 15.

2. Drop off payments at the Clatsop County Tax Office at the counter at 820 Exchange St.(second floor), Astoria. A drop box is available if you wish to avoid a line. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays.
